Artist's Description
This is a composite of meaningful places in Israel. The sunset is over the Sea of Galilee (also known as Lake Tiberias or the Lake of Ginnesaret) with no human structures in sight. The stone floating in the middle contains the carving known as the "King's Game" which was used by Roman soldiers to torture condemned prisoners. This area near the Temple Mount was most likely the actual site where Jesus was tortured prior to crucifixtion. Then the gates are the Eastern Gates of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, where Ezekiel prophesied that Messiah would enter Jerusalem.

And how do you see the world around you? How do you interpret and filter what you see? I see light, shape, form, gesture, and the "decisive moment." I see questions and feelings in the world around me. For me, photography evolves from my inner vision and thoughts, and I concentrate on artistic expression. Although I grew up with an interest in art, it was not until my senior year in college that I discovered my "voice" in photography. Using traditional darkroom methods, I continued to shoot, print, exhibit, and grow in my personal vision. In the late 1990's, I had the chance to take photography courses at one of the best 2-year programs in the country, and in 2002 I completed my degree in Photography at Daytona State College.
