Artist's Description

The first meeting of two geldings, across a fence that you can't see. The bay gelding was my anglo-arab Zimraan, and the gray gelding was the neighbor's Paso Fino Ron Rico. Zim almost always got along, and this occaison was no exception.

And how do you see the world around you? How do you interpret and filter what you see? I see light, shape, form, gesture, and the "decisive moment." I see questions and feelings in the world around me. For me, photography evolves from my inner vision and thoughts, and I concentrate on artistic expression. Although I grew up with an interest in art, it was not until my senior year in college that I discovered my "voice" in photography. Using traditional darkroom methods, I continued to shoot, print, exhibit, and grow in my personal vision. In the late 1990's, I had the chance to take photography courses at one of the best 2-year programs in the country, and in 2002 I completed my degree in Photography at Daytona State College.
