This door latch is found in the house of Diego Velazquez de Cuellar, Spanish conquistador and early governor of Cuba from 1514 until 1524. This door is original to the house he built and occupied in Santiago de Cuba.
And how do you see the world around you? How do you interpret and filter what you see? I see light, shape, form, gesture, and the "decisive moment." I see questions and feelings in the world around me. For me, photography evolves from my inner vision and thoughts, and I concentrate on artistic expression. Although I grew up with an interest in art, it was not until my senior year in college that I discovered my "voice" in photography. Using traditional darkroom methods, I continued to shoot, print, exhibit, and grow in my personal vision.
